In a time of economic uncertainty and a rife of talent war it is essential to attract, recruit and keep the best of the best. This involves each department of the company and in particular Procurement.
Indeed this function has been developing over the past few years (new responsibilities and broader activities) and has to attract and develop new talent to carry out its missions.
However this function seems to be confronted with a lack of visibility which could damage its appeal.
-How is the purchasing function perceived within companies?
-What specific aspects of the purchasing function are decisive for those who choose to pursue a career within this sector?
-What buyers’ tasks are considered the most enjoyable and conversely which are less appealing?
The survey Buy.O is carrying out in collaboration with the French business review, La Lettre des Achats, aims to answer these questions. Furthermore, this survey will highlight some key element of the appeal of the procurement function.
Addressing a very large audience, this survey will provide a compared analysis between the different respondent profiles:
- Student following a procurement career or not
- Professional working in Procurement or Supply Chain field
- Professional from other department of the company
The main findings will be published both in LDA and our website. Shortly afterwards a round-table discussion will be held with CPOs to give their point of view on these results.
